A small update + recent makeovers & kitty pics!

So not much has changed lately, work is going good, I now have 2 more assignments to go woohoo, an assessment and then I shall be hopefully qualified as a beauty therapist :D
The main gist of this post is to show you some makeup I have done on friends recently.. not as much as I'd like though, coz I'm getting used to doing it on other people now yahoo! I also got to do a younger girls flower girl makeup which was nice because I had to keep it natural but let her beauty shine through :D

This is my friend Shenitta who came over from interstate at the start of september. She is also a beauty therapist!

 Going out for dinnner
I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, if my memory serves me well I used: Verve, Pistol, Busted, Tease & Bootycall. Ignore the eyeliner, I haven't quite got the knack of doing that on other yet. She has a similar eyeshape to me so it's quite easy to choose eyeshadow placement for her lol.

Party Eyes
She said she was sick of the same old purple that she did for going out, and she loved Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal so I based the look off of that. I also used Makeupgeek's Mermaid, a dark blue from the Sleek Bad Girl Palette & MAC's Contrast. The eyeliner turned out good on one side, not so much on the other.
For both of these I let her apply the waterline & mascara so I don't completely stuff it up :P

Clubbing
I did this for my brothers girl when we went out (same night as my smokey gold look) and she just wanted a super smokey look with a lighter crease. I used the blacks in Sleek Bad Girl with a taupe from Inglot, Vanit eyeshadow stick in white with my Inglot white e/s.

Tafe
I did this on our work experience girl Teegan for my Tafe work, I had to do a day time look & a glamour look.
Day:

 28 neutral palette
Glamour:

 UD Naked 2: YDK, Blackout, Tease.

& I also did my mums makeup for Tafe :)
Day

 Chester came with me on my bed to watch some youtube videos...

...and proceeded to fall asleep on the keyboard!

Sadly not long after these pics were taken, Chester came inside one  night with an injured eye & bleeding nose & mouth.. we took him to the vets in the morning and found out he had head trauma and didn't know if he was going to keep his left eye. Luckily everything was all good but now it doesn't look like he can see out of his eye :( & he is finally back to his old self. No idea what happened to him but we don't think he was hit by a car.... but now he's cheeky again :D

Barbie Girl Makeup!

I wasn't sure what makeup I wanted to do on the weekend for a "Barbie & Ken" themed party, but I remembered an older makeup look where someone said I probably looked like a barbie haha so I pretty much just copied that, so they are very similar. I did like the shape of this one a lot more, though. 
I also did my friends makeup for that night :)

I fixed the lipstick up after these pics lol. Also this is a weird face =S

This is my beautiful friend Nicole, she was going as "Ice Barbie" & she usually wears softer makeup so I wanted to do it for her tonight :D

Black could have been blended better, yadda yadda haha

What I used on her:
The Face Shop shade stick (silver)
Sleek Bad Girl: Blade (all over lid) Noir (outer corner) [both also on lower lashline] Innocence (highlight- for some reason it showed up on one eye more than the other)
Nyx Candy Glitter liner in Disco Ball (wahh couldn't get it to show up properly on camera)
BYS Gel Eyeliner (Made it a bit too thick so I went over the top slightly with some of the glitter)
Rhinestones on outer corner of eyes (they kinda look like piercings though haha)

Also how I had my nails

Same method that I did my nails here, except I used a matte top coat by China Glaze over the top of the blue only. I used O.P.I Blue My Mind, and a random silver from Sportsgirl. Excuse the cuticles!
I think the matte has faded now, since I haven't applied it since or the silver will turn funky. (keep in mind it's been a few days, I also couldn't apply a top coat over it all or it would ruin the effect so it's not the longest lasting mani)

Smoke & Glitter~ Pic Heavy

So this is a delayed post from the other weekend.. we had hired out a bus for my aunties birthday & decorated it & went out for tea to a place that's about 25 minutes out of town.. by the time we had picked everyone up it took us over an hour & we had (between us girls) 5 bottles of champagne 0_o
Anyway, I went smokey again but decided to add some glittaa & I was going to do lashes but ran out of time 'coz I did my aunties makeup before..... pics of that at the end!

Playing around with the colours.. this is probably more correct.

Before I changed my clothes.. coz I like the way my hair looks he he

Added some lipgloss because I wasn't too happy with the lip colour.... after all of those damn photos >.<

 

I also layered some Nyx Iris over Revlon Nude Attitude (whats wrong with that picture.. bahah), but that's the basics. For the eyes I first used The Face Shop uh Shimmer Stick in silver then Stila Kitten & then the black shade in that palette, then Pixie Epoxy over that & Nyx Purple Glitter. Cheeks- Nyx Natural Cream blush, MAC Peachykeen & Nyx White pearl chrome e/s

~Aunties Makeup~

 She doesn't wear eyeshadow often but I take after her in loving beauty & makeup, & she lives 2 houses down which makes it very convenient :) I used Nyx JEP in Yoghurt, the Naked Palette (ba-da-bummm) & if I can recall it was Sin, Smog, Darkhorse & Creep for the e/l

Thanks for looking gals! Ha ha sorry about soo many pictures, I take heaps & then go through them all on photofiltre (which is a huge process- I crop, re-size, & compare against each other) & normally its a bit hard to choose between them. Lol :P

Playing makeups with the In-law

 So my mother-in-law (to be) was around for a coffee the other day & I had painted her nails already (metallic-y green with black shatter coz she asked about mine teehee) 
And then a bit later I was like 'Oh hey wanna see my new palette?' & then she said 'you got another one!! ohh that's actually very lovely hehe'.(well it didn't exactly go down like that :P but she is into makeup since she does it particially for a living- she is a beauty therapist/ Esthetician)
I bet you can guess already which palette, huh? So.. after that I was like hey can I do your makeup? & afterwards she went oooh that looks really good.

Well the background is,that you may already know, she owns a hair salon & she does the waxing, massages, facials, makeup, advanced skin treatments etc & it looks like I will be starting a beauty trainieeship soon! (but more about that one later its not quite official yet)

Something that I forgot to tell y'all is that in a few weeks the high school is having a fashion parade & they asked her to do the hair & makeup so she is taking me & a few others along! Yay I am so excited for that :D I was thinking that I may take my own brushes along too just so we have extra & different kinds of ones... I will obviously wash & disinfect them before & after but do you think that is a good idea?? So anyway the type of clothing that we will be doing the makeup for is "casual" & "wearable art" oooh I am so excited for the this!!!


Rightio onto the makeup... Luckily I had remembered right at the end to take pics!

From the top of me head first I used NYX JEP in yoghurt, then for shadows I used Sin on the lid & lower l/l... Smog in the Crease, Naked above that, Darkhorse in the outer v going down into the lashline, Virgin to highlight & a teeeny bit of creep as the e/l.

oh & I had just started doing the makeup when I heard a knock on the door... my bro answered it but as soon as I heard it I knew what it was! My MUG brushes that I had ordered! What great timing :D

top to bottom- Pointed Crease Brush, Outer V brush, Large Flat Shader Brush

To compare how long the handle is!!! It keeps hitting my mirror lol. I hope it can fit into my roll!!
