I had been meaning to use this colour combo for a little bit now, and one day I saw heaps of similar looks which I decided was a sign to do it :P

Nyx Lip Product Swatches!

I am still building my lipstick collection (which is the biggest part of my makeup collec haha) which is mainly thanks to Nyx for their affordable & huge lipstick range! So I only have 12 lipsticks, 6 lip liners & 3 lip glosses but I am getting there, I promise!
I find the best place to purchase these on the web is through Joy's Cosmetics store on ebay- click here- where you can get a bunch of items say 3 l/s for about $7 and I have ordered from her so much &have had no problems at all!
Anyway- onto the swatches =] Pic Heavy so apologies in advance! Also, click the pics to view them larger!

Left To Right- Harmonica, Strawberry Milk, Narcissus, Tea Rose, Margarita, Chloe

Harmonica- Frosty, hard to apply from the tube without it being streaky.

Strawberry Milk- Matte light pink, opaque compared to harmonica.

Narcissus- Matte bubble gum pink

Tea Rose- Matte muted pink, great for everyday

Margarita- gorgeous shimmery coral colour. I love this over pinky L/L

Chloe-  umm not matte but not shimmery, fuchsia that pulls more purple. Had to capture in flash pics!

 Left To Right- Iris, Summer Love, Pumpkin Pie, Fig, Spell Bound, Eros

Iris- Frosty, pretty much the same texture as Harmonica. Not so sure about this colour on me yet.

Summer Love- Not quite matte or shimmery nude. 1st pic looks a little too yucky on me but I like it in natural light/ full face (so if you're only ever going to look at my lips up close with a light then don't :P)

Pumpkin Pie- More orangey then summer love, & same texture/ finish

Fig- Matte Light Pink, soo pretty! However I didn't apply it too prettily here though :p

Spell Bound- One of my faves! Gorgeous Matte Hot Pink. It was hard for me to choose between this & Louisiana.

Eros- Vibrant Matte Red, gorgeous! Probably the only way I like to wear it in public though is blotted out.

 *phew* that was a lot! Now- Lip Liners.

 Left To Right- Rose, Dolly Pink, Pinky, Mauve, Bloom, Prune

My Faves have to be Rose & Pinky,

 Rose- Gorgeous light pink colour, I got this because I thought it would match a lot of pink l/s
Dolly Pink- I love this colour too but the texture is harder to work with. Makes bright pink l/s look cooler- as opposed to warmer haha.
Pinky- Gorgeous bright pink! Works great with Spell Bound. I love it underneath Margarita too.
Mauve- It is a tad too dark as a MLBB colour however I like to use it to outline my lips with nude lip liner- blended in well.
Bloom- Similar to Pinky but pulls more burgundy, gorgeous under colours like Chloe.
 Prune-A dark ummm prune colour lol, I don't think I will have much use for this (I lie- I do have some pruney l/s that would match this) But I would probably use this for a gradient look.

So thats it of the l/l for now,Next on my list is definitely tangerine! I got bloom & prune as a gift from Joy's Cosmetics & probably wouldn't have bought them anyway but I would totally buy Bloom again if I need to.

Lastly- Mega Shine Lip Glosses. As I mentioned I only have a small collection (Working on it!)

Left To Right- Sugar Pie, Smokey Look, Lala
Sugar Pie looks good with a darker smokey eye, well same as Smokey Look & Lala is just a gorgeous bright pink lip gloss! I love these because they are not very sticky (I still have the hair in lipgloss problem though -.- but my hair gets in the way all the time) & I really like the smell! Kinda sweet, reminds me of some kind of lolly but I have no idea which.

Bronzed FOTD

When I'm not really sure what eyeshadow to do, I usually just do golds or bronze. Add a bright lippy & I'm good to go, almost :)
Also- I really want to do other posts not just FOTDs, but when I get back from Phuket expect a hugee haul. eee so excited! I may also start posting about makeup basics :)

My Nightly Skin Care Routine

I posted this when I first started, but my nightly skin care routine has changed soo much since then. I think I have found what finally works for me! I haven't broken out in sooo long *knocks on wood* except for some monthly ones. Also I have been using the same face wash & method for a few months now so I hope it holds out!

• I remove my eye & face makeup with Garnier Clean Detox Express Cleansing Wipes
•  Then wet face with warm water. I like to rinse a flannel under hot water (not too hot!) & push it to my skin, so it opens up the pores.
•  I have only just added this back in but now I massage the Dove Beauty Cream Bar in & wash it off.
• Onto my amazing face wash- Neutrogena Oil- Free Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash *phew* long name haha, I massage this one in after the beauty bar for a good 2-3 mins.
• I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a toner & moisturiser.. After I have dried my face I use a cotton bud to remove the rest of my eye makeup (stubborn eyeliner, mascara) & then with a cotton pad I apply a little bit of EVOO all over my face, including on my eye lids as an eye moisturiser. I can see what makeup (if any) is leftover when I do this & it makes my dry skin feel sooo good, but not if I apply too much!
• Then I just apply a little bit of Tea Tree Oil to any pimples.

  Garnier Clean Detox Express Cleansing Wipes
 Sorry Its small but here's what it says: Smoothes & refreshes the skin, removes makeu-up & impurities. Anti-oxidant greent mint + vitamin E

 


 Dove Beauty Cream Bar

 I actually use a mini travel size one (so cute! hehe) But this soap is very moisturising- never use actual soap on your face! Only this one!



 

Neutrogena Oil- Free Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash
 This contains 2% salicylic acid which you know is good for nasty pimples but because this is a cream wash it is not drying at all! So it is perfect for
dry skin as well. On a side note- I love how squishy the bottle is! Hehe.





  
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

 This is not the EVOO that I use, I use just a generic store brand one, but if you are scared about putting olive on your face read here!

 Tea Tree Oil
 Tea Tree Oil is very good for any pimples, because it is anti-bacterial & doesn't irritate the skin. It can be drying if you apply too much, though! I also like to use it on bites & itches :)








Anyhoo thats just what I found has been working for me, & everyone's skin is different so you will need to find a cleanser that suits your needs. Hope this was helpful to someone!

I haven't really been inspired lately... but I took inspiration from a fellow mug last week. Although It wasn't exactly how I liked it.... I got the shape I wanted lol which doesn't happen too often!!

Smokey Green + 88 Warm Palette Review

Hey guys! Arghh I've been trying to stay out of this funk of not posting but I've been having trouble with my computer lately so Its been really gay, It's still not 100% better but I have to try to post sometime. In under 2 weeks now we leave for Phuket wooohoo cannot wait! Anyway here is a look I did a loong time ago but I never got around to posting it =/

It was so long ago but I'm pretty sure it was ELF Fuchsia Fusion Blush

Nothing eek sorry about that

Now onto the (quick) review:
The 88 warm palette contains mostly neutral colours which are shimmery or matte. It consists of beautiful warm blues, greens, peach, gold, plum, brown, and quite a few highlighting colour's. I like the shimmery colours a lot more then the matte, I find the matte is very hard to go on, & the shimmery colours apply a lot more smoothly. Too bad most of the peachy shades are matte because I can't get them to go on properly without a base like NYX jumbo eye pencils.

 I would also provide swatches but that would take foreverrr to do!

I bought my palette on Ebay for about $15 including shipping, if you have a look around the prices are very varied. If you were to buy this from Coastal Scents then it would be a lot more dearer then what you can find on Ebay. I even got my Essences of Beauty brushes with this palette so that was a good deal!

Overall: I do like this palette & the colours inside, just that the shimmery colours go on better then the matte, but once I get it to work its all good! I would probably buy it again if I needed to because of the range of colours! I give it 4/5 =)
