NYX Cream Blush Review + 2 FOTD from last week

..::NYX Rouge Cream Blush in Hot Pink & Orange::...
I already own Glow & Natural (As you may know, because I use them alll the time lol), but for as long as I have these I don't think I will be buying any other cream blushes in a long time!
So I just hadd to do a review on these 2 babies, I wish I had other brands to compare them to but I think they don't need to be compared to anything else, lol!

These photos here is true to what they look like in the pan. Looks scary, huh? Trust me, if you wanted your cheeks to turn out that colour then you can pile it all on if you could but im not looking to be a clown, haha. I just use a stippling brush, get as little as i can on it and slowly build up to the intensity that I want.
This is with one swipe so you can see how pigmented they are, all the flash did was make it look a bit sheerer. Maybe I should have blended them out a bit, I'm not used to doing swatches sorry! lol.
I think these would be great for lipsticks too! Although I wouldn't want to carry around the blush all day =/ haha

& Now for them on... plus some simple EOTDs that I did when I was wearing these because I didn't want the eyes & the lips to compete.

Hot Pink
I probably wouldn't want to go more then this with the blush for everyday wear.
Eyes: Nyx vanilla shimmer, random brown in crease, black eyeliner.
Lips: Australis L/S in Salsa

 Orange

Eyes: TSS Broken Dreams e/s  Avon Glimmerstick e/l in Starry Night
I applied more blush here then i would normally, however I love the way it looks with the eyes so I don't mind!

..::Overall::..
Packaging: 4/5- the plastic windows can fall out if pushed easily (I've had that happen with my other ones but it's not too often) Otherwise I don't see anything else wrong with the packaging
Product: 5/5, super pigmented, blendable & gorgeous colours!
Quality: 5/5
Price: As always it varies on where you buy it, you can get them anywhere from for $4.99 each or you can find some really good deals on ebay

Water Marbled Nails Take 2

So a while ago I water marbled my nails for the first time. At the moment I think I'm going through a stage where I want my nails to look nice all the time, that sounds silly I know lol but I've always kept my nails quite long & they've always been healthy & strong but these days whenever they get to a certain length they snap. :( Also I'm having trouble with 2 nails on my left right hand, because I'm using that hand all the time they keep snapping. But this is for another post lol.
I just wanted to share some pics of my nails atm! Well I've actually had them like this for almost 2 weeks haha.
Right hand- you can see the nails that are doing badly :( lol
 Left hand- Before the cleanup!

Apologies for the messyness! lol and that my nails are different lengths. If u want to have a go at this def search water marbling on youtube. There's many great tutorials on it.
On the first nail I did, I realized I forgot to do a colour base coat first. But then I thought it would look pretty cool like it would be kinda see through so i left it with all the nails. On some of them you can see that. Also I like how all the patterns turn out different, although not all of the swirly designs turned out right. oh well! I like how it is not a uniformed pattern. Oh and I had just used some cheap generic nail polish colours too.

Wet n Wild Lust Review, Tutorial + FOTD

So after seeing a beautiful look on makeupgeek I just had to get this palette. It is my first from Wet n Wild and I am definitely impressed lol. Well yesterday when I received this palette I decided that I would have a good at my first picture tutorial and that I would also include swatches. I would love to hear feedback from you guys about everything!!

This Wet n Wild Lust palette comes with 3 matte & 3 glittery shades, the matte being on the left column and the glittery on the right.
Here are my swatches of the colours all under Nyx JEP in milk (Yeah I probably should have blended that a bit more lol)

Top is flash & macro (which made my hairs stand out more- they're not that dark IRL!)
bottom is natural light

The shadows are super pigmented & blendable but also feel fragile like they may break easily. As they are so soft they can cause quite a bit of fall out, this is why I have taken to applying my eye makeup first. Here the swatches were with one swipe & obviously not blended out. The matte shades apply beautifully-- I've always had a problem with trying to get them to apply evenly, especially with lighter colours, and the shimmer shades are not too overpowering with glitter.

The case feels quite flimsy like it might crack quite easily, I had already dropped it but luckily nothing was broken! I like how this palette comes with the normal sponge brush and also with a blending brush (although I don't think i would use them) which would be perfect for the non makeup-obsessed girl who doesn't already own these type of brushes.

..::Overall::..
Product: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Quality: 5/5
Price: I got mine for about $7.99 on ebay (not including shipping) however I'm sure you can find it a lot cheaper in the US.
Would I buy again? For sure! I think I may have to go and order more palettes now :)

..::Tutorial::..
Soo here is my first picture tutorial....I just had to do one with this palette. I also added an extra colour because I feel like it needed it. Please leave feedback!! I just feel like I need to add that I haven't used the palette to it's full potential here lol, because I had just received it this day and was feeling a bit overwhelmed so i am very sure you can just dupe this look with the 120 palette! lol

<-- A numbered picture of the palette so you can tell the colours I've used by the numbers I've pointed out.

1.Prep & Prime your eyelids. Here I have applied TFSI then NYX JEP in Milk. Then I have applied colour  1 all over the lid and the lower lashline.
2. Using a crease brush apply 2 into the crease, it doesn't have to be neat!
 3. Apply 3 into the outer V, sweeping up into the first colour.
4. Blend out the crease & V. I used 1 again to help blend out the crease without adding any extra colour.
5. Just to add a little something, I have blending hot pink from the 120 palette right above the crease colour with a fluffy brush.
6. Take a pencil brush & add 2 + 3, respectively, under the lower lash line going about 3/4 of the way in. Join 3 up into the outer V.

7. With an angled liner brush apply 6 onto the top and lower lash line. You may wet the brush if you want to intensify the liner & glitter. Go in as far as you like.
8. Line your waterline if you wish to intensify your eyes. I only went as far as the purple and also tight lined the top waterline. I used Nyx JEP in Black Bean with the Sonia Kashuk bent liner brush
9. Woops almost forgot to highlight! Because everything is so matte I applied Nyx JEP in Cottage Cheese to the tear duct & brow bone then applied Nyx White pearl e/s over the top for some shimma.
10. Lastly curl your lashes and apply your mascara, fill in your eyebrows (not done here) and we're finished with the eyes!

Cheeks: Nyx rouge cream blush in glow
Lips: Nyx strawberry milk

Brigitte Bardot Makeup

A few weeks ago at Makeup Geek was an era contest. I decided to go with Brigitte Bardot as my inspiration, so I focused on the winged liner, defined crease, glowy skin & matte lips. What inspired me to go with this look was this photo of Eva Mendes, which incorporated all of these things.

However this photo is obviously heavily photoshopped so no way in hell would i be able to get a look anywhere close to this, lol.  Anywhooo here are my pics!!

Face~
Mac Strobe cream over my foundation. It didn't get my skin as glowy as i wanted but it helped. lol
Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in beige pearl
Nyx Taupe

Eyes~
TFSI
white pearl all over lid up to brow bone
Face Of Australia jasper eyeshadow in crease & lower lash line
Nyx JEP in black bean for eyeliner
Falsies from ebay

Lips~
Avon Nude l/l
Revlon Nude Attitude l/s

Hair~
You can only tell in the pic with the lighter background haha but I slightly teased my hair at the crown, then took half my hair from the back and pulled it up a bit so it poofed up some more and secured it with a clip. Then parted my hair in the middle.

So as you can see the eyes were quite simple, not many products needed however it took a little bit to perfect the eyeliner, and even then I wasn't 100% satisfied with it. However I loved the look and I would definitely wear this again, maybe with a bolder lip colour.

Also I would like to know, what was your favourite makeup era or person any era and why??
